Spanish Para Military Guardia Civil - invade British Gibraltar Territorial Waters - this is an act of WAR!

Spanish Para Military - invade British Gibraltar Territorial Waters - this is an act of WAR!

How can Spanish Government once again be allowed to invade our waters? Once again their Para Military Guardia Civil and their Police think they can do what they want and when they want!

No other country would continue to allow this to happen - this is no longer just constant incursion or invasion but rather their actions are now acts of war!

The worst thing is that the Spanish Guardia Civil and Police took Spanish Television Tele 5 with them and the underwater invasion is worse as the photos taken show divers do the publicity stunt of placing the SPANISH FLAG on our reefs in our Waters!

If there was any doubt about their action being political or over stepping to becoming an act of war is the publication of their own photos!

SO IS THIS NOT AN ACT OF WAR? WHEN DOES IT BECOME ONE? WILL WE CONTINUE TO WATCH AND WAIT AS EACH TIME THE SPANISH GOVERNMENT AND THEIR PEOPLE MAKE A MOCKERY OF UK GOVERNMENT, FCO AND OUR OWN LAW ENFORCERS?

HAD THESE PEOPLE COME IN OUR WATERS WITH A BOMB - IT WOULD BE TOO LATE WOULD IT NOT?

THE QUESTION THAT WE ALL IN GIBRALTAR HAVE TO ASK OURSELVES AND ALL OUR LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES - HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN ON YOUR WATCH IN OUR WATERS?

HOW CAN WE CONTINUE TO TRUST THAT UK GOVERNMENT AND FCO HAVE OUR SECURITY AS THEIR PRIMARY CONCERN?

IF THIS HAPPENED IN UK OR ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN EU OR NOT - WHO CAN ENSURE THE SECURITY OF THE PEOPLE LAND OR SEA?

OUR UK GOVERNMENT IS RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE THAT THESE ACTIONS DO NOT HAPPEN AND YET ARE THEY SLEEPING? ARE UK GOVERNMENT AND FCO JUST APPEASING?

WILL FCO, UK GOVERNMENT AND OUR OWN GOVERNOR ONLY ACT WHEN IT IS FAR TOO LATE AND THEIR IS A DISASTER?

Let us not forget what happened in the last demo at sea by the Spanish fishermen - Monarch had a bird strike their engine on landing - so questions need to be asked who put the security at risk yet again

One person on facebook clearly states:
Last night in the Telecinco Gran Debate both supposed divers who were introduced as commercial divers acted as if surprised by the repercussions of the issue. They explained the actions taken as legitimate and even noted that the GC vessel in the area passed by but had nothing to do. Clearly they are stepping back and trying with the peliculeo to suggest that Spanish authorities had nothing to do with the incursion. They then showed pictures of themselves with the Spanish flag and wearing normal diving suits. The lawyer Javier Nart, one of the debaters making a comment ref. the construction elements of the reef blocks said he had dived in artificial reefs on numerous occasions and had never seen those iron rods. Well if this is so and the divers said this action was of telecinco with no participation of the Guardia Civil, who can possibly explain to me this photo depicting a GC diver measuring blocks with those iron rods exclusive according to Nart to the Gibraltar ones.

Spanish police attacked for 'blatant' Gibraltar diving stunt
Police divers took photos of themselves posing with flags next to artificial reef

Spain's police have been criticised for a stunt in which divers filmed themselves inspecting a concrete reef created by Gibraltar in disputed waters
The divers took flags with them and posed underwater for photos before posting them on social networking site Twitter.

"The act of diving itself constituted a serious violation of British sovereignty but this apparent interference with the reef is a new and worrying aspect," said Sir Adrian Johns, the Gibraltar Governor, speaking to the Daily Telegraph.

The police's actions were a "blatant attempt" to exercise jurisdiction in waters over which Gibraltar claims sovereignty, he added.

Divers from the Guardia Civil can be seen in a video measuring and inspecting one of 74 concrete blocks placed in the water by Gibraltarian authorities last month to create a reef, a move which has been met with anger by Spain.

The country also claims sovereignty over the waters around the self-governing territory, which measures just 6.8 square km (2.6 square miles) and is home to just under 30,000 people.

The Gibraltar government released a statement on the incident, saying, "Her Majesty's Government of Gibraltar notes the incident of executive action taken by the Guardia Civil in British Gibraltar Territorial Waters in the area of the new artificial reef.

"The matter of this serious incursion will not assist in de-escalating the present tensions."

Sir Adrian commented that the police dive was "particularly unhelpful" in the light of what he described as Gibraltar's "conciliatory position" in a heated row over sovereignty and fishing rights in the small British-held territory.

Fabian Picardo, the territory' chief minister announced on Saturday that 59 Spanish fishing boats could return to the disputed waters within months, under new legislation, in an attempt to calm tensions with the Spanish. He insisted, however. that the controversial reef would remain.

Gibraltar currently bans fishing with nets under an environmental protection law passed in 1991, but which Spanish fisherman were exempted from until Mr Picardo's Socialist Labour government came to power in 2011.

The Spanish government is demanding that the Gibraltarians dismantle the reef, which it says prevents its fishermen from operating in waters over which the country also claims ownership. Madrid has also accused its neighbour of deliberately damaging the Spanish fishing trade.

The flag stunt is that latest in a series of moves that have ratcheted up tensions between the two governments.

The European Commission will send observers to the border between Gibraltar and Spain at the request of both sides after the Spanish imposed extra border checks on those wishing to enter the territory.

The UK says these actions, which have caused lengthy traffic delays, break rules on free movement within the European Union. Spain's explanation for the checks were that the British outpost has not done enough to prevent smuggling.

The ironic fact is that the Spanish Government continue to use Gibraltar to distract the corruption by them in SPAIN!
Below is an example that they are using our placing of reefs to protect our sea life and they have the audacity to say their fishermen cannot fish - but yet they are stopping their own fishermen fishing!
Cofradia of fishermen in the Balearic Islands angry that the Spanish Government has decided to start the preparation of legislation to prohibit Spanish fishing in some of their areas they have traditionally fished in ilegally. http://www.diariodemallorca.es/mallorca/2013/08/24/pescadores-tildan-sinsentido-nueva-restriccion/869855.html
The decision by spain to see the legislation through was as a result pressure out to their government by the Spanish section of Oceana which is an international organisation dedicated to protection the world's oceans.http://oceana.org/en/eu/media-reports/press-releases/spanish-government-to-prohibit-trawling-in-cabrera-and-the-underwater-mountains-of-mallorca

So what is this all about? The truth and the reality is that this has never been about FISHING! This is and always has been about the SOVEREIGNTY OF THE BRITISH GIBRALTAR TERRITORIAL WATERS!
We are not happy that SPAIN continues to be unchallenged by UK Government or FCO or even the EU about the constant lies and publicity stunts!
This latest one is and should be considered an act of war! These are our waters and as such our laws should be respected! We have had enough of their bullying and harassment to us as a people!
 ******************************************************
So let us all support Gibraltar by not going on holiday there, by not buying their products let us all boycott like they have started to do in UK see below:

Brinkleys in UK have boycotted already

So all in all let us continue the fight to stand up to the BULLY that SPAIN is and who hides behind a false image of democracy when in fact its own behaviour to its neighbours speak for itself!

Breaking news by your gibraltar tv

The Royal Gibraltar Police this afternoon responded to reports of divers in the area of the Western Anchorage where the artificial reef was recently laid. The divers in question were seen to be members of a Guardia Civil diving squad. They were questioned about their activities and they claimed to be searching for computer equipment which had been lost during Sunday’s operation to deal with the fishing protest. They were asked to leave the area and they complied with the request continuing to dive in Spanish waters north of the Spanish breakwater.
The RGP notes, contrary to statements made by Guardia Civil officers at the scene, the dissemination of a video in the Spanish media of Guardia Civil officers inspecting a concrete block purportedly belonging to the artificial reef within BGTW.
RGP officers are carrying out an operational dive in the area in question and will investigate whether there has been any interference with the reef.
