Day Two continued - Spain uses bullying tactic - Creating 7-8 hour Queues and causing havoc! Making thousands suffer!

Day Two - Spain continues creating Border Queues to harm people!

My question to everyone out there is simple. How can SPAIN be allowed to behave in this manner?
They have caused so much pain and suffering to thousands caught in the queue today between 7 - 8 hours!
The people in the queues were babies, children, the elderly, people with disabilities, pregnant women and many others with illnesses like diabetes!

It was worse than watching a film about 3rd world countries! People all around me were suffering in the heat, many with exhaustion, panic attacks not just thirsty and hungry!

Many thousands were angry and confused and could not understand and even thought we had detained them illegally and would not let them out of the country! Some people thought we were targeting only SPANISH people and cars?

Through a lot of patience and showing we care - we gave a great image about Gibraltar and the people! We explained as best we could in English, Spanish and even french to the thousands of tourist who came for the day!

Yes there were some heated moments - caused by confusion and heat and stress! Well who would not be after 7-8 hours in a queue in the heat?

Many vulnerable people suffered today unnecessarily and this should not be allowed and we all call on UK government, the FCO and the European Union to take note and investigate and castigate this inhumane behaviour incited by SPAIN and outwardly admitting to it.

Below are some pics from today at the holding are half way at reclamation land and some at the border.

I have only praise to the many volunteers and the many people who went that extra mile to help make these thousands of people more comfortable. Special thanks to the Royal Gibraltar POlice who many had to work extra days and hours to keep Gibraltar and the visiting tourist safe! The Fire Brigade for helping out delivering the water to the right places to quench the thirst of thousands - many which were children under 12 and the youngest days old!

Thank you to the Governor Sir Adrian Johns who came to visit us and the people stuck in the queues - refusing any photos so that he could mingle freely and humbly amongst us!

Thank you to John Cortes and Steven Linares who not only got us water and cups and open free toilets for the many thousands in the queues but also sweated and helped out - not with words but action!

What Spain has done yesterday and today is the cruelest action they could do and the worse of it all is they are hurting their own people!

How could SPAIN in a time of great need be so cruel and thoughtless of the humanity aspect?

Is this the behaviour of a Country in the European Union? Is this the kind of democracy they boast they have? I think the tactics they use today feels like Franco the dictator is still alive!

Spain's has once again disgraced herself and damaged her reputation and caused harm to thousands of people!

THERE IS NO EXCUSE! NO MATTER HOW YOU TRY THERE IS NONE!

So what can i say except it was a hard day for everyone those caught in the queue and those helping.

What we need now is for SPAIN to stop this form of bullying before someone dies in those queues.
